Meet Sarah
Who Am I?
I am a qualified dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor with over 12 years of experience in education, including in leadership roles as a teacher, SENCo, Assistant Headteacher, and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with learners with additional needs, with my experience spanning from classroom teaching, whole-school SEN coordination, safeguarding, and one-to-one assessment work
I hold an AMBDA Level 5 and Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties and a current Assessor’s Practising Certificate, ensuring that my reports meet the criteria required for formal support, including eligibility for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of individual learning profiles, and my goal is to provide accurate, empathetic assessments that lead to practical and effective support strategies for each learner.
What is my Ethos?
With 12 years of experience in education, my mission is to ensure that every child feels understood, included, proud of who they are, and empowered to thrive. I am deeply committed to creating environments where all learners are valued and supported, especially those with specific learning differences such as dyslexia. I believe that every child can succeed when given the right support, understanding, and opportunities. My work is grounded in the belief that inclusion and equality are not just ideals, but essential practices. I strive to build strong, respectful partnerships with schools and parents, working collaboratively to embed effective, practical support at the heart of everyday teaching. Together, we can help all children reach their full potential—and feel proud of the journey.
